Cybernetics
Cybernetics are augmentations that are grafted into the Cipher’s body which provide a bonus to assist in espionage or combat scenarios. There is no required cost for activating a cybernetic augmentation, but there is usually a once per encounter restriction on activating it. The type of cybernetics available for selection and their general utility is divided up into categories based on location of the device, since a Cipher may have one augmentation from each category of body part:
Headwear
Comlink
An embedded communication device capable of connecting to various frequencies of sound, overlay audio and visual data within the bearers vision and hearing, and facilitate encrypted conversations using subharmonic vocalization to avoid detection when utilizing the device.
Cranium Bombs
Implanted explosives capable of causing tremendous damage to the wearers surroundings but will almost certainly result in the death of the bearer. Often used as a last resort for the desperate or as a weapon to turn an unwitting victim into a deadly trap.
Data Jack
Creates an input and output mechanism for the loading of external memory cores and the ability to utilize stimcards. Memory cores contain data recorded from a user, with a range of sensory, emotional, and computational information. Stimcards also temporarily increase the users action points by two, but then must spend a day recharging before being ready for activation again.
Tooth Compartment
A small storage unit within a hollow tooth that is able to contain very small data chips or toxins that spread in a cloud of the users choosing upon breaking the seal on the tooth.
Cyber Optics
Enhances the visual capabilities of the bearer to prevent blinding, greatly increase field of vision, and provides optic filters that enables thermal and night vision.
Torso:
Plate Splicing
By infusing tendons and muscle bands with nanoplating the bearer can withstand significant attacks that would otherwise cause incapacitation or severely injury. Blunt weapons have minimal impact and even small caliber rounds can be shrugged off without causing damage.
Nervewire
A network of interwoven bioelectrical fibers are woven into various matrices across the bearers body, granting them short bursts of supernatural speed. The bearer may cover a range of distance twice as fast as normal for one encounter before the fibers need a day to recharge.
Holo Jammer
A network signal jammer is implanted into the bearers chest, allowing them to wreck havoc to communication systems that are within a field around them once activated. This scrambling is able to be selective when in use and does not impact the bearers own communication systems or systems in use by any allies.
Omnicell Generator
A series of capsules are woven near major organ groups within the bearer to emit fast replication biomatter that can recover the bearers health rapidly once in an encounter before needing time for its auto recovery process to refill the capsules. If the Cipher would be put into a Cheat Death roll, instead set their vitality to one and allow this cybernetic to recharge for an entire day.
Spike Skin
Thin and sharp barbs are implanted around the bearers skin and grants them the ability to injure enemies that attempt to grapple them or otherwise make contact with their body. The barbs are fully retractable after being activated and are virtually imperceptible when not protruding from the skin.
Arms:
Armblade
The bearer may activate a concealed blade to mold outwards from their artificial arm, appearing from the elbow down. The blade can then be detached and wielded as a standalone weapon separate from the bearers body or it can be used while still attached to the arm. The blade can be sheathed to conceal the blade by inserting it back into the bearer if it is chosen to be wielded standalone.
Muscle Graft
Bands of muscle are spliced with mechanical enhancers that allow the bearer to deal devastating blows against enemies and greatly amplifies their strength. Carrying capacity, weight lifting, and the distance thrown objects travel are effectively doubled.
Hook Cannon
A micro rocket propelled hook with optional rope woven into each rocket on detonation allow the bearer to launch deadly hooks at enemies or instead can be utilized as a grappling hook for nearby architecture. Due to the compact size of the device, only the bearer may travel using the grappling hook.
Shredding Whip
Autonomous coils with serrated blades lie hidden within the arm of the bearer, but once engaged are devastating weapons that can act like striking metallic vipers or can be utilized as singular slicing whip on command.
Hands
Talon Razors
The bearer’s fingers become capable of transforming into sharp blades, rending flesh and allowing them to slice through fencing, wires, ans foliage with ease.
Dermal Pocket
A hidden compartment is woven into the hand, allowing the bearer to store small data chips and discreetly carry Stimcards.
